2. Current data-minimised operation

Gift-? currently works without user accounts, without Gift-? advertising or analytics tracking and without a Gift-? server-side backend. Gift-? itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies and uses no advertising identifier.

3. Hosting

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. According to IONOS, webhosting processes technical access data such as referrer, requested page/file, browser and operating system information, device type, access time and an anonymised IP address. IONOS states a retention period of up to eight weeks for webhosting visitor data and states that these data are not transferred to third parties or third countries.

IONOS WebAnalytics is enabled by default for webhosting. IONOS states that WebAnalytics does not use cookies and that IP addresses are anonymised immediately after transmission and used without personal reference for statistics and technical optimisation. The legal basis for necessary hosting and security processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Local device storage

Gift-? stores only user-requested functional settings locally on the device, in particular language, favourites and preferred market country. These data are not sent to a Gift-? server and can be deleted within Gift-? or through browser/app settings.

5. Location

Device location is requested only after the user explicitly starts a nearby search using their own location. Permission is controlled by the browser or operating system. Gift-? does not store the resulting coordinates on its own server and does not use them for advertising or profiling. If the user then opens an external map or retailer search, the search location is passed to that third party as part of the user-initiated action; the third party's privacy rules then apply.

6. External services and links

External retailers, providers, maps and search services open only after a user action. Gift-? currently embeds no third-party advertising or analytics SDK and uses no active affiliate tracking parameters.

7. Feedback and partner enquiries

These forms are not submitted to a Gift-? backend. They prepare an email draft to kontakt@gift-q.com in the user's email application. Data are transmitted only if the user sends that email. Enquiries are stored only for as long as necessary to process and complete the communication. Longer storage takes place only where required by law or where the data are needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

8. Rights

Subject to the GDPR, data subjects have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Requests can be sent to kontakt@gift-q.com. Complaints may be lodged with a competent supervisory authority; for a controller established in Croatia, AZOP is a competent authority.

9. Changes

Before any future backend, affiliate tracking, advertising, accounts or other data-processing services are activated, this policy will be updated and consent will be obtained where required.
